The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is backing the UK’s first trade exhibition for the independent, luxury and boutique hotel sector, Independent Hotel 12, which starts today (16th October) at London Olympia.
Independent Hotel 12 is a new event designed to give strength to the independent, luxury and boutique hotel sectors of this significant industry. Hotel 12 hopes to bring together the owners, operators and key decision-makers from the UK’s leading establishments and suppliers to the hotel industry.
Sue Timney, President of BIID commented, “Independent Hotel 12 represents a great opportunity for our members to keep up to speed with the latest design trends, innovation and thinking in the sector. Interior designers will also be able to use the event to meet with key decision-makers and build their business in this important part of the market.”
Independent Hotel 12 features a dedicated programme of innovative business sessions, including presentations, Q&A discussions and head-to-head interviews with the industry’s leading experts. As part of this programme, BIID member and a Past President, Lori-Pinkerton Rolet, of Rooms-Service Ltd will take part in panel discussion ‘Front of house, front of mind – The importance of first impressions’. Sitting alongside hotel guru and Sunday Telegraph journalist, Fiona Duncan, and hotel photographer, Adrian Houston, Lori will be discussing the visual importance of a hotel and how to ensure it is always looking its best. The session will take place today (Tuesday 16th October) at 12:30pm and will provide an insight for hoteliers into how they can keep their properties looking fresh, inviting and successful.
