Giorgio Borruso Design has been announced as the winner of the 2012 AIA/Los Angeles Design Awards Merit Award for Excellence in Design for the project of Carlo Pazolini SoHo.
The annual AIA Los Angeles Design Awards honors excellence in work built by Los Angeles architects (Design Awards) as well as work by Los Angeles Architects as yet unbuilt (Next LA Awards). For the 2012 awards, AIA/Los Angeles received hundreds of projects for new buildings, interiors and urban planning from the most important firms practicing globally.
Held at the Broad Stage Theater in Santa Monica on October 22, 2012, the ceremony celebrated 37 firms who received awards that evening. Special guest DJ/artist/activist and architecture aficionado MOBY opened the ceremony, followed by performers, artists and bloggers presenting the winning projects.
Carlo Pazolini’s new 3,000 sqft space in the hip SoHo district of New York is the first flagship store for Carlo Pazolini in the United States. This also marks the twentieth international design award for the auspicious collaboration of Carlo Pazolini and Giorgio Borruso Design since 2010.
