A history with curtains

Charles Rowley & Co has launched its 2014 catalogue. Charles Rowley has come a long way since 1830. Amongst many other achievements, the company patented the safety pin in 1849 and made Confederate uniform buttons for the American civil war in 1861. Now specialising in accessories for the soft furnishing industry, Rowley’s maintains a factory in Birmingham where it manufactures curtain poles, drapery rods and all kinds of accessories. Many of Rowley’s products are unique, being still manufactured on machines developed decades ago. Rowley’s Director Nick Protts said: “Today’s challenge has been to develop new products with Rowley’s traditional quality that will meet with our customers high expectations. Our full capability goes well beyond the products included here, but it’s a good starting point to explore our essential range of traditional drapery hardware.” The Charles Rowley 2014 price list and catalogue is available to download through the website.
