Cubist movement

83073.22091 Cimitree main
Cimitree took an eye-catchingly different approach when designing their stand for Decorex this year. Director and Co-Founder Chris Thorpe explained, “Normally we would design and make two or three brand new pieces of bespoke furniture for an exhibition, this year we wanted to highlight the vast array of different materials and finishes that we can and do work with. We decided that rather than display flat samples we would make a series of cubes that visitors could pick up and handle and really get a feel for the materials.” Cimitree displayed over 120 cubes in a huge range of materials including wooden veneers, leather and fabric, specialist lacquers, gold and silvers leaf , hand applied paint finishes, shell and polished plaster to name but a few. Cimitree design and make high end, bespoke furniture, joinery and kitchens for interior designers, architects and developers.
