English antiqued-mirror and gilded glass specialist, Dominic Schuster, introduced this new original hue to his collection of tinted glass and mirrors at Decorex this year. Inspired by the cool, contemporary appearance of Art Deco interiors, the new Blue Violet is a vibrant and welcome addition to Dominics existing colour palette.
Other concepts introduced at Decorex included: CrittallTM panels combined with antiqued glass for an intriguing, reflective yet translucent surface; a table with glass surface antiqued to the Dominic Schuster standard Fossil finish, with the introduction of a light Mercury Sparkle; new work with prints including Groovy Lady, a collaboration with Dominic Schuster and Charles Ommanney of mixed media, combining antique mirror and fine art photography; a framed silver leaf convex mirror, a beautiful hand-bevelled mirror with a Light Mercury finish and examples of framing that are part of a range of gilded and old bronzed finishes.
