Nordic Quarter is a development by Network Housing Group and forms part of the prestigious TNQ development situated on the main A5 (Edgware Road) in Colindale, London.
This development forms part of the Colindale Master plan, with over 10,000 apartments to be constructed in the next 10 years. The development consists of over 400 apartments, situated right the middle of the Colindale Development Project.
New i.d tendered and won the commission to design and furnish three show apartments and a marketing suite.
Amrit Lattimore the lead designer for the project said, ”The overall look and feel of the interior was derived from the name of the development ‘Nordic Quarter’. The brief was to design three show apartments, one of which was a mayors housing covenant and 2 for shared ownership”. Amrit added that “My aim was to create a Nordic feel that is very current and made the home feel very comfortable which I achieved using natural woods contrasted with painted finishes, animal prints, furs and heavy textures. I used key Scandinavian pieces alongside contemporary furniture.”
?“The private show home was neutral in tone from the furniture to the accessories and the two shared ownership apartments had more colour in particular autumnal tones to bring some warmth and diversity.“
Lisa Ley Sales & Marketing Director of Network Living commented, “We were excited to see the ideas that New i.d came up with for Nordic Quarter. They captured the brief which was to have a Nordic design theme that complimented the style of the development. This should not compromise the expectation of customers who would still want an on trend apartment that reflects their busy London lifestyle. New i.d have managed to create a smart London feel to the apartments, which our customers love and have made the apartments fabulous.”
