Deanswood Interiors celebrates forty years in 2016, continuing to build knowledge and provide the highest quality curtain making service to its clients.

A milestone has been reached by Deanswood Interiors who mark forty years of growth and experience in window treatments, during which time the company has continued to develop their ability to tackle the most difficult design questions.

Deanswood Interiors was set up in 1971 by Linda and Mick Porter (now retired) and when their sons left college they immediately joined the Deanswood team to learn the business of curtain making and all that goes with providing their discerning clients with the best in curtain making, blind manufacture and advice in window treatments.

Today Deanswood Interiors, run by David and Keith Porter, sons of the founders, has developed strongly and successfully grown to employ 17 experienced curtain makers and a total staff of 23.

The ethos of the company, “continually improve, build knowledge and provide the best advice and service to their valued clients”, has been at the forefront of the success of Deanswood Interiors.

Although there has always been a positive and strong attitude towards quality and service within the business, it is the introduction of high tech computing equipment for in-house quality control, as well as on-site measuring that allows on-time delivery and perfection in installation, which have helped towards the company’s growth.

Deanswood Interiors has become the ‘go to’ company for everything to do with soft furnishings, curtains and blinds.

The computer based total quality control system, ‘DiDii’, is loved by the Deanswood team, allowing them to continue to be the creative force they are and provide clients with the very best service, whilst keeping up to speed with technological developments.

All work at Deanswood Interiors is carried out in the high eaved, spacious factory, allowing Deanswood Interiors to maintain control of production. No matter how busy the workshop gets; the increase in working hours and extra shifts cope with heavy workloads to maintain the Deanswood standard.

Keeping abreast of industry changes, creativity and development in the interior design world are all part of the continuing growth process for Deanswood Interiors and the team’s ethos for creating a better design future.
