Andy Bishop, Creative Director, kbb Birmingham, comments, “with kbb Birmingham just around the corner, we are excited to see the fantastic innovations our exhibitors will have on display at the show. Interior designers will see the latest trends, view the newest products in action and also have the chance to meet new and existing colleagues, customers and friends. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the show next month.”

Confirmed exhibitors include Quooker, Capel, Electrolux, Samsung, Laufen and Caesarstone, as well as a number of up-and-coming brands within the sector. One of the key highlights will be the kbb Innovation Awards 2022, in partnership with Blum. The awards honour the best and most innovative ideas in the KBB industry, recognising the most creative and ground-breaking solutions. Visitors will be able to see the shortlisted products at the show to get an essential preview of some of the most exciting product designs from the KBB sector. Sustainability will also be a big focus for the show this year. The Used Kitchen Company will be back as the show’s sustainability partner encouraging exhibitors to think about their environmental and social impact as well kitchen recycling by helping exhibitors to sell off their displays and find new homes for all the kitchens on show.

Visitors can expect to see a variety of key trends within the industry. We have become more aware of what we touch and more conscious of keeping ourselves and those around us safe. One of the key trends we are seeing is the demand for touchless technology. Another priority for specifiers is sustainability, ensuring the products they source have a reduced impact on the planet and are fit for the future. The way we live and work has changed, so there is a new focus on homes being able to provide multigenerational living to ensure the home works for everyone.

Being able to get outdoors and take advantage of its benefits has never been more important, this is being reflected in the next trend – bringing the outdoors indoors. Design is extremely important and bold style statements are increasingly popular within the home especially using black to create impact and contrast, as seen in brassware, bathroom sanitaryware and kitchen appliances.

kbb Birmingham will feature over 200 exhibitors across 26 different product categories. The event expects an audience of over 12,000 visitors over the four days, attracting senior decision makers from the retail and contract sector.
