When it comes to mood lighting, the versatility offered by the humble dimmer switch is without equal. So, revisiting their roots as one of the first to introduce the dimmer switch to the UK, Bristol-based Hamilton Litestat has added some stylish design touches to this timeless interior must-have.
Launched in Autumn 2022, Hamilton’s new range of dimmer knobs offers designers an unrivalled choice of designs within their standard range. And as with all Hamilton collections, custom designs and finishes are also available to ensure that finishing touches aren’t an afterthought – especially in the most unique of interior projects.
Each new design is a natural evolution of the last, with a unique machine finish and form that sets it apart from market alternatives and Hamilton’s own original smooth dimmer design.
The first design introduces a hint of texture by way of a knurled diamond pattern finish that is subtly visible and tangible to the user. Design two brings texture in a bolder, yet effortlessly stylish three-groove form that would feel right at home in an industrial, contemporary or period interior. The third and final design offers the same knurled finish as the first design, but with the addition of a gently sloping brim, creating a softer interval with the faceplate and a sturdier feel.
Designed and assembled in Bristol and machine-turned from satin brass, each design is currently available in satin brass or matt black finish, which is achieved via a high quality powder coating process using RAL 9005 to achieve the perfect on-trend shade of black and matt finish.
The new dimmer knobs can be paired with face plates from any of Hamilton’s decorative metal designer collections and are available in single gang or multi-gang formats to enable the ultimate flexibility in scene-setting.
