Following the success of their Signature Collection, which has been specified for a number of impressive residential and hospitality projects, the industry’s lighting experts Northern Lights have released their SS23 Collection of decorative lighting.
The mix of luxury raw materials and artisan techniques bring tactility into focus with careful attention to detail and form, whilst design influences draw from nature, texture, and art deco. The collection includes table, wall, chandelier, pendant and rechargeable lights, and offers an eclectic mix of aesthetics whilst retaining the Signature Collection’s timeless luxury principles.
Each piece is made and finished in-house by their team of artisans under the registered Made in Britain mark, meeting the growing demand for artisan British-made lighting that’s synonymous with quality.
TEXTURED CERAMICS
The cylindrical Denali table lamp incorporates fine textural lines hand-carved carved into sections of the base, creating an almost archeological feel. The sculptural design is completed with a beautiful Pearl or Oyster linen drum and a choice of two reactive matt glazes – Bornite and Vulcanic – designed to enhance the textures.
The Rondo design with its ovoid base has a wonderfully organic feel and allows reactive glazes to collect in the patterned rings allowing a slight concentration of colour. The ivory matt crackle finish creates a subtle yet beautiful effect, off-set by a hand finished brass base and Soho Linen Drum.
COLOUR POP PENDANTS
Levit, Warner & Romney glass pendants invite designers to mix and match the different shapes and tones to create custom lighting displays. Mouth-blown Borosilicate glass is available in frosted, opal, clear and reeded options, as well as smoke, green, amber, and teal to add a pop of colour and to complement all manner of colour palettes.
INSPIRED BY NATURE
The fins that adorn the Chaco ceramic table lamp have been delicately modelled by pinching out the clay to create softly formed ridges akin to the organic shapes of seed pods.Hand-turned sustainable Alder wood was selected for the Sisley design. This elegant yet striking silhouette celebrates the simplicity and beauty of natural wood and can be finished in Medium Oak or Wenge.
1920’S DECO
Alabaster, glass and marble feature across several new ranges. Deco-inspired Bayreuth chandeliers and wall lights epitomise the style of 1920’s Germany but are softened with beautiful elliptical alabaster and glass shades.
Marble and granite base options in the compact Bouvard lamp design are completed with elliptical sphere shades in glass or alabaster, continuing the deco theme.
