The Pool Room presented a unique challenge for Clarke Infinity: To create a luxurious space perfect for quiet relaxation which doubles as energetic entertainment zone, whilst delivering a perfect aesthetic fit for a sleek and contemporary new-build property close to London.
Balancing the specific project objectives required careful planning in terms of acoustic solutions to ensure the space could seamlessly transition from quiet daytime retreat to dynamic party environment, without compromising on aesthetics.

Our involvement from the room’s inception, however, allowed us to expertly prepare the space for audio excellence. We calculated and organised the acoustic treatment in the Pool Room to mitigate the typical echo of swimming pool environments whilst also ensuring an appropriate vapour barrier to protect the room from moisture damage.
After thoroughly researching various acoustic options for the ceiling, we chose Armourcoat Acoustic Plaster which presents outstanding sound absorption performance together with high-level moisture-resistant credentials. Delivering a sustainable architectural surface that enables sound to be attenuated in the mineral wool base layer; successfully optimising acoustics whilst also being highly resistant to bacteria, mould and mildew – a prerequisite in any high-moisture environment.”
