Designed by Hugo Silva and Joana Santos for DAM, PIPO is a versatile addition to any interior design scheme.
PIPO adapts seamlessly to any space, serving as a stool, side table, or bedside table. Its adaptability suits various settings, whether a living room, office, bedroom, or hotel. And whether you prefer a minimalist look, a rustic style, or a more eclectic vibe, PIPO easily suits different tastes and needs, remaining a timeless piece.
A furniture piece designed and crafted in Portugal
Crafted in Portugal with traditional techniques, PIPO is made from responsibly sourced agglomerated cork, referring to the traditional wine barrels. The rope handle enhances its portability, linking the piece to the commercial history of OPorto wine from Portugal.
Why is cork a good material for interior design?
Choosing PIPO is a sustainable decision. Cork is 100% vegetable, biodegradable, recyclable, and sustainably certified, aligning with eco-friendly interior design trends. Its natural properties, including thermal and acoustic insulation, lightness, durability and longevity, resistance to fire and high temperatures, hypoallergenic and odor-free, comfortable and soft to the touch, and impermeability, make cork an excellent material for furniture.
The PIPO table or stool by DAM is a prime example of how multifunctional design can meet sustainability. Its eco-friendly characteristics, versatile functionality, and timeless design make it a valuable addition to any space. By choosing PIPO, you are not only enhancing your living space but also contributing to a greener future.
