BoxNine7 has presented their new show apartment at Graphite Square, created in collaboration with CBRE and Australian developer, Third.i Group.

This 1,144 sq. ft property on the Albert Embankment in Vauxhall, Lambeth, represents Third.i Group’s inaugural mixed-use development in London, introducing a fresh, international perspective to the city’s dynamic property market. BoxNine7, a member of AGC – the UK’s first B Corp certified interior design collective – was appointed in May 2024 and designed an interior that embodies the ‘less is more’ philosophy. Their approach masterfully merges old and new elements to create an elegant space, accentuated by large, timeless statement pieces with a contemporary flair.

BoxNine7 has incorporated bespoke built-in pieces to maximise space, complemented by Australian-inspired artwork and a unique antique piece that adds a touch of aspiration to the design. The layout and architecture draw influences from Sydney’s North Shore and the Amangiri resort in Utah, evident in the curved structures, natural materials, and open spaces. The furniture design takes inspiration from Parisian interiors, seamlessly blending traditional architraves with modern curves and soft upholstery to create a calm and sophisticated environment.

The entrance hall has been painted in a deep green to create a moody, boutique ambiance. The corridor curves, leading to a spacious living area that opens to the London skyline. Featuring a mix of old and new, including a large three-seat sofa by a British manufacturer, the living room beautifully merges tradition and modernity. The dining space showcases bespoke banquet seating designed to maximise space, inspired by Amangiri’s unique pool design, whislt upcycled dining chairs have been skilfully reupholstered, giving them a new lease of life.

Highlights in the master bedroom include a large wall-mounted headboard made in the UK, a calm neutral colour palette, and quirky, antique Art Deco bedside tables. The subtle design complements the view of iconic London landmarks. The second bedroom introduces a touch of colour with dusty sage green lime wash walls and a burnt orange upholstered bed.

Each room showcases artwork with unique stories and accessories sourced from local markets, and sustainability is a priority. The apartment is painted with Bauwerk limewash paint, known for its eco-friendly, non-toxic composition and beautiful matte finish. Bauwerk’s paints are made from natural ingredients, promoting healthier living spaces and environmental responsibility.
