KI Europe, a leading name in the contract furniture industry, were revealed as the Global Category Award Winners of 2024’s SBID International Design Awards. Showcasing their new Fleet Lounge Collection, designed by the visionary Bruce Kenneth, this marks KI Europe’s first award for its lounge furniture.
With a dedication to creating spaces of relaxation, designer Bruce Kenneth drew inspiration from the timeless elegance of Mid-Century Modern furniture to shape the Fleet Lounge Collection.
Comprising of a chair, ottoman and coffee table set, and marked by clean, precise lines that form geometric shapes, the Fleet Collection features an all-wood frame seamlessly blending with its legs. The chair and ottoman design takes into account both anthropometrics and ergonomics, creating an illusion of weightlessness for the user, as well as plush cushions for ultimate support and relaxation. The Fleet Coffee Table completes the Fleet Lounge collection. This matching piece not only complements the design language of the chair and ottoman but also serves as a functional centrepiece in its own right.
The Awards ceremony took place at The Royal Lancaster London and featured an esteemed international jury and an inspiring community of designers and architects who gathered for the ultimate celebration of design. Global Category Winners were the highest scoring entries from both the Judges scores and the critical Public Vote!
