XV Interiors offer luxurious and sustainable homewares inspired by nature and coastal living, catering to those who relish life’s finer indulgences. From wallpaper and fabrics to lamp shades and signature scents, their collections offer a seamless fusion of coastal allure and contemporary design.
Founded by passionate visionary Izzey Hung and designer extraordinaire Vicky Sanders, the duo have developed XV Interiors into an exquisite brand with a range of products that weave narratives and effortlessly infuse any space with coastal serenity.

Here they discuss their transformative journey and how they work with interior designers to add timeless charm to their projects.
Tell us about your individual design backgrounds and how you met?
IZZEY: I’ll let Vicky take the glory on this one! My design background is a little less conventional—I grew up leafing through my parents’ stacks of House & Garden magazines, which was probably the closest I got to interior design until later in life. Professionally, I’ve spent much of my career in Talent Management, coupled with employer branding within the corporate world. But my passion for creating beautiful, thoughtful spaces really took shape when Vicky and I crossed paths, blending her artistic expertise with my love for storytelling and brand building.
VICKY: I’ve been working across homeware and fashion design for over 15 years now. I was Head of Design at luxury brand Matthew Williamson for many years before launching my own label, Victoria Sanders, which I run alongside XV Stripes. At heart, I’m an artist—I absolutely love designing prints, and every piece starts with a hand-drawn sketch or painting. Working with Izzey has been an absolute dream; she’s always brimming with ideas, and we both share a deep love for the coast and nature. Our collaborative process is where the magic happens, allowing us to create designs that feel authentic, timeless, and, hopefully, loved by others as much as we love making them.

How did the idea for XV Interiors come to life?
IZZEY: It all started with a blue and white striped duvet. I’d been searching for one for years—literally—but could never find exactly what I had in mind: something woven, not printed, with the stripes running horizontally. When I took a sabbatical from work, a friend encouraged me to finally explore the idea of creating it myself. I tapped into my old retail network, and that’s how I was introduced to Vicky.
We both drove two and a half hours to meet for coffee, and from the moment we started talking, it just clicked. Vicky introduced the idea of creating scatter cushions featuring our own designs, which felt like the perfect starting point. That simple concept quickly blossomed into a wider range of products, all showcasing our nature-inspired illustrations and reflecting our shared love for coastal living.
I’ve always been drawn to that relaxed, nautical aesthetic, so our first collection, Cowes, came together naturally—deeply inspired by my passion for sailing and the unique spirit of the island. It set the tone for everything that followed, blending craftsmanship, storytelling, and our connection to the water.

What are each of your day-to-day responsibilities within the business?
IZZEY: We share responsibility for steering the overall direction of the business and stay grounded by a set of principles that keep us true to our brand identity. Vicky leads as Creative Director, bringing her artistic vision to life through our designs, while I focus on the business operations and client relationships, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
That said, we’re both deeply involved across all aspects of the brand. Vicky isn’t just the creative force—she’s also a natural salesperson and loves connecting with our customers. Our collaboration is very fluid, and that balance between creativity and business is what makes XV Stripes feel both authentic and intentional.

How do you approach developing a new collection?
IZZEY: Our creative process is truly a shared journey. I usually come to Vicky with an idea or a concept—sometimes it’s a really vivid vision of the design. I’ll put together a mood board or try my best to articulate what’s in my head (though if I had a mind projector, life would be so much easier!).
From there, Vicky takes the reins, hand-drawing all the initial images and then bringing them to life digitally. We’ll share screens or sit side by side, tweaking and moving things around until everything feels just right. Vicky works her magic here—her ability to transform an abstract idea into something tangible and beautiful is where the designs really come to life. It’s a seamless blend of imagination and artistry, and that collaborative spark is what makes each collection feel so special.
What services and bespoke options do you offer to interior designers?
IZZEY: We offer fully bespoke design services for both private and commercial clients, creating custom prints or entire collections tailored to their vision. Whether it’s designing something completely new or color-matching our existing designs to fit a specific mood board or palette, we love bringing unique projects to life.
We’ve had the pleasure of working on some incredible projects where we’ve designed prints exclusively for clients. The process is highly collaborative—we meet to discuss ideas, brainstorm together, and then we put together a mood board that captures the essence of the project. Once the brief is finalized, I begin hand-drawing the designs, which is such a special part of the process. It’s incredibly rewarding for both us and the client to see a concept evolve into something completely bespoke and personal, all while maintaining that distinctive XV Stripes handwriting.

How do you approach sustainability in your production processes?
VICKY: Sustainability has been at the heart of XV Stripes from the very beginning. We’ve always focused on using sustainable cotton and eco-friendly fibers in our collections. Early on, we traveled across Portugal, visiting weaving houses of all sizes to understand their processes and ensure we were partnering with manufacturers who shared our values.
As the business has grown and we’ve expanded into other product ranges, we’ve been equally committed to sourcing responsibly. We’ve sought out UK-based manufacturers that prioritize recycled materials and locally made products, not only to support local craftsmanship but also to minimize the carbon footprint of our supply chain.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to hopefully introduce a recycling initiative for our customers. We’re currently reviewing potential partners to take back used cotton products from our clients, giving them a new life through dedicated recycling processes. It’s all part of our ongoing effort to create beautiful products that are as kind to the planet as they are to the home.
What are you focused on for 2025 and beyond?
IZZEY: We’re thrilled to be launching in the US with @thepatterncollective, bringing our wallpaper collections to a new audience. With our wallpaper books now available, we’re keen to connect with more interior designers and trade professionals to explore bespoke project work and collaborations.
We’re also expanding our Newtown Creek collection with new designs and products, including fabrics, lampshades, cushions, and tableware. Looking further ahead, we’re already in the creative phase of developing a completely new collection theme for 2025/26—something that will continue to reflect our love for nature and thoughtful design while bringing fresh inspiration to the brand.Â
