Sunborn London
Located at the Royal Victoria Dock beside ExCeL London, Sunborn London is a distinctive and well-known landmark on the city’s waterfront. Originally opened in 2003, the property was upgraded in 2014 to a larger, second-generation yacht hotel. The current Sunborn London measures 120 metres in length and offers 9,500 square metres of floor space across five levels, comprising 138 rooms and suites.
The hotel features exceptional guest facilities, including a restaurant, bar, and versatile event spaces spanning three floors. Floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor terraces provide panoramic views across the dock toward the Siemens Crystal, Emirates Air Line, The O2 Arena, and Canary Wharf.
Sunborn London was Sunborn International’s first international yacht hotel and introduced an entirely new hospitality concept to the market. Its immediate success demonstrated the viability of yacht hotels as standalone, fully operational properties and marked the first time globally that a complete hotel building was relocated to another country.
Following this success, the upgraded Sunborn London launched in 2014 with enhanced operational facilities, expanded hospitality and event spaces, and increased accommodation capacity. The new yacht hotel also marked Sunborn’s first long-term lease agreement with an operating partner. Operated under the Sunborn Yacht Hotels brand, the property has achieved strong commercial performance, delivering above-market occupancy levels and revenues.
