kbb Birmingham, the UK’s leading trade show for kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms, returns to the NEC from 1–4 March 2026. The biennial event is celebrating its 40th anniversary year and will highlight over 320 top brands across more than 25 product categories. Drawing more than 17,000 visitors, kbb Birmingham has grown into the ultimate meeting place for industry professionals, consistently bringing together leading brands, innovators, influencers and senior decision makers from the entire supply chain.
This milestone year also honours the show’s legacy of pioneering and spotlighting emerging interior design trends. According to Sam Fisher, Event Director at kbb Birmingham, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design is moving away from minimalism and towards richer colour and texture. “Expect tactile materials and colour introduced through authentic finishes and surfaces like natural stone, stained wood, plaster and hand-painted tiles.”

“Bold shades like deep red and burgundies will stay strong, balanced by warm, earthy neutrals – think moss, olive and sage – for a luxe but grounded look,” Sam continues. “Colour drenching is also expanding beyond paint into joinery, worktops and fixed furniture, while wood drenching envelopes rooms in timber. Lighter woods keep things airy, while darker tones bring a cosy, intimate feel.”
“Marble remains a go-to material, especially alongside wood, metals and engineered alternatives. To tap into the drenching trend, use real marble in low-traffic areas, like a feature wall, and opt for quartz or marble-effect surfaces where you need something more durable.”

Alongside marble, Sam is seeing coloured stone gaining popularity. “Boldly hued marble, granite and quartzite with distinctive veining let people express personality through long-lasting, high-impact features. Brands like WEX Trade, Vadara and The Marble Group are offering stunning finishes that can really define a space. For a minimalist look, go for accents, such as a splashback, storage unit, or accessories.”
“Customers want spaces that feel tactile, colourful and connected to natural materials,” Sam concludes, “the shift away from stark minimalism towards warmer, more personal interiors is unmistakable.”

Many of these trends will be on display on exhibitor stands at the show. Kitchen brands confirmed to exhibit include Smeg, Nolte Kitchens UK, QETTLE, Birch and Oak, Laminam, Nobilia, Rangemaster, Armac Martin and InSinkerator. Bathroom brands include Showerwall, Nobu Concept, Orka Bathroom Furniture, Mundilite, Whitebirk Sink Company, Aqualisa, Innowin International, Vado and Ca’Pietra among many others.
