Set high above London’s West End, a 1,647 sq ft private residence within the architectural landmark Centre Point development, by Almacantar, has been reimagined by interior design studio A.LONDON as a bold, sculptural home that channels the spirit of a New York penthouse through the lens of British artistry.

The studio worked closely with the client to realise their vision of a home that balances comfort with character, designed to feel connected to the city it overlooks.

A Landmark Reinvented

Originally designed by Richard Seifert in the 1960s and more recently reinterpreted by Conran & Partners, Centre Point remains a symbol of modernist London. With its geometric façade and panoramic glazing, the building offers sweeping views that extend across the capital.

This residence, located on the 14th floor, offers a rare combination: total immersion in the energy of London, and a profound sense of serenity once inside. It’s an experience of contrast, urban dynamism viewed from a quiet, personal perspective.

Interiors That Challenge Convention

Stepping from the private lift into a hallway crowned with a wallpapered ceiling, the tone is immediately clear. This is a home designed to surprise. It is expressive, curated, and layered.

A.LONDON’s interior scheme draws from the spatial language of Manhattan lofts, with open-plan living spaces and sculptural design elements. From the deep claret velvet sofa that takes centre stage in the living room, to the bespoke beds, headboards and joinery tailored to each room.

Materiality is central throughout. Rich timber, terrazzo, natural stone and textured wallpapers create contrast and cohesion, delivering a tactile narrative that evolves as one moves through the space.Sophie Rastrick, interior Designer at A.LONDON, explains: “The wallpapered ceiling became a key focal piece and a part of the journey throughout the apartment. Its movement reflects the city beyond the windows, while its palette connects each room in subtle, unexpected ways. The result is a home that’s expressive, balanced, and built to be lived in.”

Turnkey Interiors, Rooted in Care

More than a design commission, the project reflects A.LONDON’s comprehensive service offering. From spatial planning and sourcing to installation, styling and final art placement, the team managed the residence from concept to completion.

This fully tailored approach, particularly valued by international clients, ensures not only the delivery of a beautiful space, but the reassurance that every detail has been handled with clarity and care.

A.LONDON’s Senior Director Rachel Clark reflects on the project: “Designing a private home within such an iconic setting was a genuine privilege. The brief required intuition as much as expertise, understanding how our client wanted to live and translating that into something truly meaningful. It’s a space that connects with its surroundings, and with the person who calls it home.”
