Designer Emilie Bonaventure has unveiled her latest interior design of restaurant Belle Maison by Chef Franck Baranger and his associate Edouard Bobin.
Offering a modern cuisine solely dedicated to seafood, the 120mÇ restaurant features two floors seating 65 covers. The two associates wanted the decor to be inviting and relaxed; a place that reflects their values, making patrons feel at home. The ground floor features a natural wood bar acting as a restaurant-style service, with no reservation required creating a space dedicated to sharing and conviviality. This cosy dining experience continues onto the first floor, which benefits from a wonderful natural light. Belle Maison’s interior design highlights Emilie Bonaventure’s affinity for exceptional artisanal and carpentry savoir-faire. The decor is distinguished by the organic materials used by each craftsman’s refined yet subtle signature touches.
Painted on the original wall of La Maison Mère restaurant, the incredible wall mural is adorned with blue geometric shapes resembling the work of real tattoos. The mural is reminiscent of the blue patterned frescoes on the ceramic tiles at Parco dei Principi Hotel in Sorrento created by interior designer Gio Ponti or even the motifs by architect Oscar Niemeyer in Brazil.
Once again, Emilie Bonaventure makes a point to highlight the work of young chefs. Each element of this modern interior is finished with a nautical inspired style: the furnishings, chairs, light fittings and tableware are all carefully sourced and designed with this influence in mind. These final touches are cleverly married with the sun-kissed blue tones and organic materials, a perfect combination that pays tribute to the great masters of architecture.
