Molteni&C|Dada has unveiled its recently refurbished Flagship Store on Shaftesbury Avenue as a state-of-the art showroom specialising in kitchens and wardrobes.
The re-launch, following its opening in 2008, will complement the recently opened Flagship Store on Brompton Road and the UniFor contract showroom in Fitzrovia, highlighting the importance of London in the international design scene.
Aiming to act as an inspirational and informative base for the design and architecture community, the refurbished store on Shaftesbury Avenue will be composed to meet the needs of trade professionals within the sector. Echoing the structure of a working Flagship Store, it will offer a portfolio of products and furnishing solutions to guide contract project work and provide clients with the support required to shape commercial, retail, hospitality and residential spaces.
Positioned in the heart of the West End and in close proximity to Clerkenwell, Molteni&C|Dada Shaftesbury Avenue will provide discerning clients with bespoke lifestyle, design-led solutions, whether they are sourcing a kitchen for a single home renovation or a multi-plot, soft contract project.
Molteni&C|Dada kitchen and wardrobe systems are a renowned synthesis of contemporary, Italian-crafted design and intelligent technological advancements, suitable for any size or scale of project. The portfolio of iconic designers who have worked with Molteni&C|Dada – including Vincent Van Duysen, Foster+Partners, Jean Nouvel, Rodolfo Dordoni, Gio Ponti, Dante Bonuccelli, Ferruccio Laviani, Patricia Urquiola, Nicola Gallizia and Yabu Pushelberg, Neri & Hu, to name but a few – is testament to its quest for innovation and design.
The 330 square metre space – surrounded by 37 linear metres of full height windows and a breakout area – will feature six different kitchens in a variety of finishes. These include the imposing VVD kitchen hewn from Ceppo stone and walnut, designed by Vincent Van Duysen; the aesthetically sleek Hi-Line6 in white Matt Lacquer and Carrara marble by Ferruccio Laviani; the timeless Trim and Vela kitchens by Dante Bonuccelli and the sophisticated Prime Kitchen.
The kitchen systems will be showcased with complementary, cutting-edge appliances demonstrating the huge breadth of opportunity for culinary excellence. In addition, six variations of wardrobe systems including the Gliss Master and Master Dressing, both designed by Vincent Van Duysen, will be displayed, from a simple twin up to a striking dressing room space, in a variety of finishes including glass, eucalyptus and high gloss lacquer, demonstrating the versatility of the range.
The Flagship will be styled with complementary living collections to present a fully integrated look and offering, including furniture, soft textiles and home accessories. These include key pieces from the Heritage Collection, such as the D.859.1 dining table by Gio Ponti, to recent designs from its enviable portfolio of designers, such as: the Woody Chair by Francesco Meda, 505 Sytem by Nicola Gallizia, Arc Table by Foster+Partners; and numerous designs by Rodolfo Dordoni, such as the Filigree Table, Chelsea and Barbican Chairs, and the Euston Pouf.
