This year is shaping up to be a landmark year for Sofas & Stuff, with a confident programme of new product launches, fabric innovations and the opening of a thoughtfully designed new showroom. From a striking new sofa model to practical yet beautiful textiles and an expanded London presence, the year ahead reflects the brand’s continued commitment to British-made furniture, enduring design and considered craftsmanship.
A new sofa shape for contemporary living
Recently launched into showrooms nationwide, the Richmond sofa is the latest addition to the Sofas & Stuff collection. Defined by its bold, wide, low-set arms and clean, architectural silhouette, the Richmond strikes a careful balance between contemporary structure and relaxed comfort. Its confident proportions give it a strong visual presence, while deep cushions and generous seating invite effortless lounging.
Available in ten different configurations, including corner and chaise options, the Richmond offers impressive versatility, which makes it particularly well suited to informal living environments such as family rooms, games rooms and pool houses, where comfort and flexibility are key. Whether upholstered in a neutral linen or a characterful patterned fabric, the Richmond is designed to anchor a space while remaining effortlessly liveable.

Spill-resistant fabric range
Launching this spring, Sofas & Stuff introduces its first-ever range of spill-resistant fabrics, marking an important new chapter for the brand. The collection includes exclusive printed designs, notably those from the much-loved RHS and V&A fabric ranges, combining practicality with distinctive style.
The fabrics are crafted from a poly-blend textile treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish, applied during the padding process. This creates a protective surface that causes water-based liquids to bead on contact, allowing time to wipe spills away before they are absorbed. Crucially, the treatment is applied in controlled amounts, ensuring the fabric’s handle, texture and appearance remain unchanged.
Ideal for homes with children or pets, the spill-resistant fabrics can be applied to any Sofas & Stuff piece or purchased by the metre, offering designers and homeowners greater freedom without compromising on aesthetics.

Islington showroom
Opening in late April, Sofas & Stuff will unveil its 26th showroom with a new location in Islington, north London. Situated at 296 Upper Street, the showroom follows the successful opening of the Richmond-upon-Thames space in summer 2025 and brings the brand’s made-to-order offering closer to north London clients.
Designed as a calm, curated environment, the Islington showroom invites visitors to explore furniture and fabrics at a relaxed pace. A dedicated fabric library, housed in the cosy basement, features hundreds of fabric books — from Sofas & Stuff’s own exclusive collections to renowned names including Colefax & Fowler, Linwood, Sanderson and Morris & Co.
Interior Designers are warmly invited to use the showroom as a meeting space with clients. For further information, contact islington@sofasandstuff.com.
