Westferry Circus gets Scott Brownrigg treatment

Scott Brownrigg Interior Design has completed the stunning CAT A refurbishment and rebranding of 11 Westferry Circus in Canary Wharf, for the landlord Union Investment. The Hamburg-based real estate investment manager purchased the building in 1999 for its open-ended real estate fund UniImmo: Deutschland.

The nine storey building has undergone extensive refurbishment to provide 140,000 sq ft of premium lettable office space, which is being managed by Savills.  In addition, the creation of new branding both internally and externally, has suitably repositioned the building for the Canary Wharf market.

The refurbishment was carried out over two separate phases, comprising the strip out back to shell and core, and the CAT A fit out.

All the services and office floor finishes and common parts of the building, including the reception and lift lobbies, cores, stairs and toilets have been upgraded and refreshed. The reception area now incorporates new revolving doors and associated glazing, a new reception desk and security turnstiles. Extensive new plant has been installed to service these requirements, and all four lifts upgraded to compliment the high quality feel of the building.

A new external terrace on level eight offers occupants stunning views towards The City; To the front of the building, new signage, paving, lighting and globes have been provided to the Colonnade.

The refurbishment also incorporates new cyclist facilities including dedicated changing rooms and individual showers, located at the basement level to encourage cycling to work.
