Christopher Jenner has combined eccentric Edwardian values within a prime London retail location to create a revolutionary space for the Penhaligons brand.
Jenner has once again combined his unusual approach to design with the historic presence of the street. This time the design pays homage to the Beaux Arts style that Regent Street, London is famous for. Pattern, form and texture all come together in a synthesis of traditional English handicraft and high-tech manufacturing. This symbiosis of classic and contemporary fuses classic Edwardian splendor with cutting-edge Japanese manga.
Brand iconography has been woven into the very fabric of the design, emphasising Jenner’s signature pointillist style.
Giant padded walls, punctured by sticky chamfered light boxes draw the eye into a kaleidoscope of heriatge. Ceiling roses inspired by Westminster Cathedral introduce a Tudor fretwork ceiling.
