Interiors UK tackles modern retailing in 2013

INTERIORS UK, one of the leading UK interiors exhibitions has just announced the features for their 2013 show. The overarching theme for INTERIORS UK 2013 is modern retailing, set to challenge, explore and develop the future of retailing by showcasing a number of carefully curated retail display areas, hosting a series of retail-led seminars from the likes of Nayna Macintosh (Marks & Spencer’s Director of Store Design), Jonathan Webb (Retail In Action), Stylus, Mark Hughes-Webb (Brandhub), Nic Cumisky (Google), Callum Lumsden (Lumsden Design), Melinda Ashton Turner (Stylist – talking about visual merchandising) and the iconic Nina Campbell.

The show’s leading feature will be the designersblock department, in place of the popular village square from the 2012 show. Designersblock will be using their creative talent to create a totally new store concept, brand and identity. The giant feature will include a concoction of different departments featuring furniture, accessories, toys, lighting and lots more, all sourced from designerblock’s vast network of young designers and design makers. Another new addition to the 2013 show is the wifi café together with a Pitfield pop up shop. Pitfield recently made an appearance at Tent London during this year’s London Design Festival and will be re-emerging at Interiors UK in Hall 4. Pitfield is an eclectic interior design shop and café in Shoreditch, London, owned by designers Shaun Clarkson and Paul Brewster.
