Bath-based interior design studio Goose Collaborative has been named as a regional finalist in the UK StartUp Awards 2026. Selected for its innovation and professional impact, the business has been shortlisted in the Creative StartUp of the Year category for the South West region. Following the regional final, the winners from the South West will progress to the national final held at Ideas Fest in September 2026.
Founded in December 2023, Goose Collaborative delivers thoughtful, brief-led interiors for residential and commercial clients, both in the UK and internationally. The studio has worked across a diverse range of residential and commercial settings, from a Georgian rectory to a luxury holiday home in the Caribbean, from an eco-lodge in the Appalachians to a NHS hospital outpatients department, and from a café and community centre to a modern office in a repurposed industrial building.

With a team of three designers, the studio has demonstrated impressive momentum by delivering almost 20 projects in just two years, across the UK, USA, Uruguay, and the British Virgin Islands. Despite facing major health challenges within the founding team, the business has successfully reached profitability, achieving breakeven as a bootstrapped venture with no external funding.

“Being shortlisted as a regional finalist is a wonderful acknowledgement of the work we have put in over the last two years,” said Alexandra Hunt-Dallison, Founder and Lead Designer at Goose Collaborative. “I saw an opportunity to open a studio serving a clientele that wants to identify their own unique and individual style, rather than having a designer’s own signature style imposed upon them. Our focus is always on the way our clients live, work, and use their spaces, so to have our philosophy recognised by the judging panel is very rewarding.”

The UK StartUp Awards was launched to recognise the booming startup scene across the UK, which has accelerated significantly in recent years with around 832,000 new businesses registered in the UK in 2025. Over 900 businesses have been shortlisted for this year’s UK StartUp Awards across ten nations and regions. The contribution of these firms, all of which were started in the last three years, is significant, having created nearly 5,000 new jobs since they were established and generating annual sales of over £150 million.
